Forget Ralph Macchio. The real star of karate Kid by-product, Cobra Kai, is Bartender Brett – a character who appears for about two seconds at the end of the third season to serve Daniel LaRusso and his wife Amanda martinis at a Christmas party.
If just mentioning Brett doesn’t sound like anything, Andrew Austin, the actor and video editor who portrays him – and who created the excellent “Robert ET” and “Full house Without Michelle ” videos – has created a website dedicated entirely to your debut.
Made as a GeoCities fan page, the site provides a complete summary of Bartender Brett’s fundamentals. There are GIFs and images of each picture of his appearance, an image that celebrates his famous catchphrase, “Coming right up!”, And a complete background story for a character with only one line (voiced by someone other than Austin) .
The website speculates, based on Brett’s brief appearance, that he practices his profession with a “level of skill, respect and intuitive experience that suggests years of experience in bartending, as well as experience in martial arts”. In their curiosity section, we learn that the other drinks that Daniel and Amanda are shown enjoying later in the scene “were served by Bartender Brett”. The site can be built on self-promotion, but it also boosts the imagination of every viewer who looked at Brett and asked himself, “What’s the matter with this guy?”
What if Cobra KaiThe creators have fans’ best interests at heart, they will understand that Austin knows this character inside and out and write a story that gives him a chance to show how deep Bartender Brett’s involvement in the plot is. We will have to wait and see if they will take this opportunity when the fourth season debuts on Netflix sometime in the future.
