Good morning and welcome to the final issue of Fox News First for 2020. Here is what you need to know to start the day …
Mitch McConnell accuses Pelosi, Schumer of political game over stimulus checks
Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell warned in a plenary speech on Wednesday that Democrats like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer were “trying to pull a quick coup” in trying to “distort” President Trump’s effort to send $ 2,000 in direct payments to Americans.
“First, they expect everyone to simply forget about electoral integrity and Big Tech. They are desperate to ignore these two parts of President Trump’s request,” said McConnell.
The Kentucky Republican said Democratic leaders were looking to approve a package that would dramatically increase national debt and provide money to families that do not desperately need help.
“Look, it is no secret that Republicans have a diversity of views on the wisdom of borrowing hundreds of billions more to send more untargeted money, including to many families who have not suffered any loss of income during the crisis” said McConnell. “COVID-19 did not affect all families equally.” CLICK HERE FOR MORE ABOUT OUR INITIAL HISTORY

Under current law, objections from at least one senator and a member of the US House of Representatives are necessary to force a debate over electoral counts in a state. Hawley became the first US senator to announce his intention, joining Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., From the Chamber.
“This is the only opportunity I have as a United States senator,” said Hawley. “… [H]before [is] my only opportunity to get up and say something, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. ” CLICK HERE FOR MORE
