Mayor Frank Jackson’s grandson in custody after Parma police chase

PARMA, Ohio – Frank Q. Jackson, grandson of Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, was arrested on Sunday morning after a police chase.

Police said they were trying to stop Frank Q. Jackson because his vehicle was too dark.

During the stop, they asked Jackson to get out of the vehicle.

An officer tried to contact Jackson when he pulled away in his vehicle.

Officials said the officer managed to run the car before being released. He was not physically dragged or seriously injured during the incident.

The officers chased Jackson’s vehicle, where he drove at more than 100 mph.

Police said they lost the vehicle after it left west of I-90 on Avenida Lorain.

Jackson surrendered to the Parma Police Department at around 3 am

Last week, an arrest warrant was issued against him for allegedly hitting his girlfriend in the face during an argument in December 2020.
