The news last month was that linebacker Matt Milano would hit the open market instead of signing again with the Bills before the free agency starts, but Milano won’t be leaving Buffalo after all.
According to several reports, Milano agreed to a four-year contract to remain with the team. The total value of the deal is US $ 44 million and Milano will receive US $ 24 million in guaranteed money as part of the pact.
Milano ranked 25th on the PFT list of the best free agents this year.
He joined Bills as a fifth round pick in 2017 and moved from special work teams to a defensive role relatively quickly. Milano lost six games due to a chest injury in 2020 and ended the year with 45 tackles, 3.5 sacks and an interception.
