Amazon is preparing for a massive resupply of the PS5 this week, according to leaks online. A replenishment of Amazon PS5 was originally suggested last week, but now it looks like it could happen this week.
Several PS5 tracking accounts have reported that Amazon has almost 50,000 PS5 consoles ready to use, but it is still unclear when the PS5 replenishment date will materialize. When you arrive, you will have to be in your game to get a console, so we have a few tips to follow.
Update: As of 6:25 pm on March 22, Amazon has no stock of the PS5, but TechRadar says a replenishment of the Amazon PS5 could happen this week.
YouTuber Jake Randall and Matt Swider TechRadar, which has been tracking PS5 inventory for some time, suggested that Amazon PS5 replenishment would be between 9am ET and 11am ET on March 18. This window came and went without a hint of a PS5 on Amazon.
However, hope has not been lost, as several sources claim that the resupply of the Amazon PS5 could happen soon. For now, we are keeping an eye on the site and will update if the stock situation changes.

PS5: $ 499 on Amazon Check stock: The flagship PS5 console includes a 4K UDH Blu-ray disc drive. As a result, the design is slightly more complete than the fully digital model. It retails for $ 499 and includes a PS5 DualSense controller.View Deal
PS5 digital edition: $ 399 on Amazon Check stock: The PS5 Digital console does not have a 4K UDH Blu-ray disc drive. As a result, it is slightly thinner than its counterpart. It also sells for $ 399 ($ 100 less) and includes a PS5 DualSense controller.
Jake Randall too tweeted this week that Amazon is planning to offer 46,000 PS5 consoles during its next PS5 refueling. TechRadar’s Matt Swider has posted evidence on Twitter today, which suggests that this is still the case. So while the time gap has clearly changed, there are still all signs that Amazon is planning a massive PS5 refueling soon.
Although we don’t usually get hard numbers when it comes to console refueling, 46,000 units look like a fair amount of PS5s. This could mean that this week will be the best chance since the release date for players eager to get their hands on a system.
Similar reports have been circulating across the lake, with several inventory tracking accounts claiming that Amazon UK would be discarding PS5 shares this week alongside its American counterpart.
This is a great indication that reports of a massive replenishment of Amazon PS5 are more than just illusions, as in the past Amazon has replenished several regions within a few days of each other.
Of course, until the refueling actually happens, it is important to remember that these are technically just rumors and Amazon itself has not officially confirmed anything and it is likely not. The retailer usually discards the stock without warning, we do not expect to know the validity of these rumors until the end of the week. However, with so many reputable PS5 inventory control accounts corroborating the information, it definitely seems like there is at least some truth to the rumors.
PS5 inventory is being replenished more regularly than ever by the minute, suggesting that the inventory issues that have plagued the console since launch are starting to dissipate.
If Amazon does in fact have a restocking of the PS5 later this week, you will need to be ready. 46,000 PS5s certainly look like a lot, but the stock is still likely to run out in minutes, while players and (unfortunately) scalpers compete for the console. Below you will find our top tips to help you be one of the lucky few to receive that elusive order confirmation email.
How to get a PS5 on Amazon this week
There is no guaranteed formula for success when it comes to protecting a PS5 during an Amazon refueling, but there are a few things you can do to tilt the odds in your favor.
First, make sure you have an Amazon account set up in advance. You have pre-saved address information and payment details as well.
Putting the stock in your basket is only half the battle, once you have achieved that it is a race to complete the checkout. If you are unable to enter your card number and postal code, it is likely that the console will run out as you type.
Signing up for Amazon Prime is also useful if you want fast shipping, but it won’t give you the advantage of actually purchasing a PS5 – you don’t have to sign up to get first access to a refill.
A little weird trick from Amazon that has been used recently is that by placing the console on your wish list in advance, when it is refilled, you can add it to the cart from there. This allows you to ignore the listing page, which almost always crashes due to heavy traffic.
Using this trick, you can usually put inventory in your basket the minute the refueling is active, and this gives you a considerable advantage over people who are trying to update the actual PS5 listing page in hopes of getting it to work.
Make sure you have the PS5 on your wish list in advance, as you can still add it even when the console is exhausted. Do this well before refueling in order to use this trick.
We tested this method ourselves the last time Amazon refueled the Xbox Series X and we can confirm that it actually works. We were able to put the X Series in our basket four times, while we were unable to put the console in our basket once on the list page, as it kept crashing.
