Massive hacking disrupts Molson Coors brewing operations

The Chicago-based company said in a regulatory document on Thursday that the hack took its systems offline, delaying and disrupting parts of Molson Coors’ operations, including its production and shipments.

An investigation into the incident has begun, the company said, and is “working around the clock to get its systems back up and running as quickly as possible.”

“We hired a leading forensic IT company to assist in our investigation into the incident,” said Adam Collins, director of communications and corporate affairs. “We will continue to communicate with our business partners with updates.”

Molson Coors (TOUCH) makes dozens of beers, lye and non-alcoholic beverages.
Recently, there have been several high profile cybersecurity incidents. For example, hundreds of thousands of Microsoft Exchange users around the world have been the target of a hack linked to Chinese.
