Mass Effect’s remastering trilogy details ME1 changes and release date

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, the remastered version of Mass effect trilogy, is just around the corner.

The sci-fi RPG has defined the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 generation for many people for its well-written characters, detailed world-building and the fact that you can have sex with aliens …

The second and third games are classics loved as stone, but the first has not aged better. Compared to its sequels, the fight is not up to par, the stock management is a nightmare and the Mako is just … eurgh.

EA and BioWare took the time to tinker with the first game, in addition to just adding a little visual and polish.

The camera, user interfaces and various locations have been improved, while AI for its teammates is considered much better, the crosshairs have been adjusted to look more modern and Mako’s clumsy handling has been resolved.

Character creation tools have been improved and unified at all levels, with FemShep’s Mass Effect 3 seems to be the standard for all three games. If you only played games like the male Shephard, definitely try FemShep.

And if you’ve only played as a female option before, stick with it. She is the best choice by far.

One thing that the first game won’t get is the ‘Pinnacle Station’ DLC, for the same reason that the PS3 version never got it back: the files are practically unviable.

“I wish we could do that. Honestly, just because it was meant to be everything the team created, it brought it back together – all the content for one player,” said game director Mac Walters Game Informer. “And then, leaving everything on the floor of the editing room, it was heartbreaking.”

All other single player DLCs in all three games will be part of the remastered trilogy.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will be released in May 14 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Games will be further enhanced on PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X / S, but apparently there will be no native versions for these systems.
