Masked Dancer Zebra Revealed as World Boxing Champion

Eleven-time boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya is obviously no stranger to competition or extravagant legwork. But it can be assumed that he would still be out of his environment doing a jazz-handsy dance of “Mack the Knife” … in a bipedal zebra costume. Mas De La Hoya – also known as Zebra, as revealed in Wednesday’s four semifinals episode The masked dancer – was clearly ready for the challenge.

Although De La Hoya was eliminated this week, narrowly missing the chance to seek gold at the end of next week’s season, he told host Craig Robinson that he stood out as the Zebra in The masked dancer it was “probably the best experience I’ve ever had”. And at least he managed to do one last dance for his mother (a big fan of Bobby Darin), who died of breast cancer just before De La Hoya won gold at the 1992 Olympics. The Zebra really showed its stripes tonight .

Although De La Hoya was knocked out of the competition by technical knockout, one of the remaining three finalists, Cotton Candy, is probably also a famous Olympic gold medalist. She will have to settle for silver or bronze in The masked dancer, or can she beat Tulipa and Preguiça? Let’s guess and evaluate.

Cotton candy

This cheerleading jock-jam dance, with a “Mickey” medley with Toni Basil’s pom-pom and the 2 Unlimited stadium classic, “Get Ready”, was like a mini show from the Super Bowl break. (OK, it wasn’t as stunning as Weeknd’s performance at the Super Bowl LV or last year’s J.Lo / Shakira show, but it was certainly more fun than Justin Timberlake and Maroon 5’s recent half-turns.) The candies -girl served as high kicks, kicking, standing somersaults and drop-split. Ai already went Broughten.

The clues: She “started this way at age 6”, but constant travel once made her relationships “explode”. The verbal cues included the words “super-girl”, “cover girl” and “boss”, and she has some connection to this week’s guest judge, Blades of Glory the star Will Arnett, who once “showed his love in The masked singer. ”Previous clue packs mentioned lips, ice, gold, sports and” prayer “.

Judges’ guesses: Tara Lipinski, Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas.

My guess: This is absolutely an all-American skating gold medal, multitasking wife, Super Bowl commentator and devout Catholic Tara Lipinski.

The laziness

Preguiça made his usual sexy and joking shtick during a Sam Smith samba, “Dancing With a Stranger”, and it was weirder than usual. It even twerked! But, as usual, it was great silly fun, with Judge Ashley Tisdale praising a certain “magic” that made the routine “come to life”.

The clues: He described himself as “slightly overweight” and a former “womanizer” who co-starred with “incredible protagonists” before finding the love of his life through dance. He also mentioned that “competing in your family”. Other tracks referred to Miami, cruise ships, doctors, amber and rose.

Judges’ guesses: Hugh Jackman, Ashton Kutcher, Patrick Dempsey, Matthew Morrison, Maks Chmerkovskiy, Val Chmerkovskiy.

My guess: This one took a while to decrease, but I’m finally sure that the Sloth is Dancing with the stars for Maks Chmerkovskiy. The expert vibeologist resident on the panel of judges, Paula Abdul, said this directly, and Paula’s track record on this program was impressive, so that’s almost enough to continue. But the clues (like the fact that Maks’s brother Val is also a dancer, that Maks is married to a colleague DWTS Regular Peta Murgatroyd, or that Maks partnered with Amber Rose in DWTS) to add.

The tulip

This flower is cheerful polka (yes, polka) once again showed his versatility and ability to catch any type of choreography. It was a risky choice that only Tulipa could make; Judge Ken Jeong called her “most technically proficient” in the competition, while Arnett praised her “natural ability”. I just wish this routine had been defined as a Weird Al medley, since Tulip featured some comedy strokes tonight as well. (Note: the tulips are Dutch, so can I suggest a clog dance for the end of next week?)

The clues: She is the youngest remaining on the show, but she is used to it. She competed all her life, but her “best friend took home more trophies”. She’s a huge fan of K-pop, High School Musical, iced coffee and peanut butter sandwiches with jam. Other clues this season include butterflies, the letter Z, “achievements for life”, TikTok, Instagram, a “Second Annual Mother and Daughter Dance”, the acronym “ALDC” and the words “frozen” and “princess”.

Judges’ guesses: Mackenzie Ziegler, Noah Cyrus, Dove Cameron, Liza Koshy.

My guesses: OK, that’s totally social media maven Mackenzie Ziegler – star of the Lifetime series Dance Moms (Abby Lee Dance Company = “ALDC”) and the film Ice Princess Lily, Maddie Ziegler’s younger sister and best friend, and well-known iced coffee and PB&J enthusiast. Cotton Candy will give Mackenzie a sweet competition, but it will last in the grand final, but Tulip can have whatever it takes to win this season’s Diamond Mask and increase the trophy collection.
