Eleven-time boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya is obviously no stranger to competition or extravagant legwork. But it can be assumed that he would still be out of his environment doing a jazz-handsy dance of “Mack the Knife” … in a bipedal zebra costume. My guess: This one took a while to decrease, but I’m finally sure that the Sloth is Dancing with the stars for Maks Chmerkovskiy. The expert vibeologist resident on the panel of judges, Paula Abdul, said this directly, and Paula’s track record on this program was impressive, so that’s almost enough to continue. But the clues (like the fact that Maks’s brother Val is also a dancer, that Maks is married to a colleague DWTS Regular Peta Murgatroyd, or that Maks partnered with Amber Rose in DWTS) to add.
The tulip
This flower is cheerful polka (yes, polka) once again showed his versatility and ability to catch any type of choreography. It was a risky choice that only Tulipa could make; Judge Ken Jeong called her “most technically proficient” in the competition, while Arnett praised her “natural ability”. I just wish this routine had been defined as a Weird Al medley, since Tulip featured some comedy strokes tonight as well. (Note: the tulips are Dutch, so can I suggest a clog dance for the end of next week?)
The clues: She is the youngest remaining on the show, but she is used to it. She competed all her life, but her “best friend took home more trophies”. She’s a huge fan of K-pop, High School Musical, iced coffee and peanut butter sandwiches with jam. Other clues this season include butterflies, the letter Z, “achievements for life”, TikTok, Instagram, a “Second Annual Mother and Daughter Dance”, the acronym “ALDC” and the words “frozen” and “princess”.

My guesses: OK, that’s totally social media maven Mackenzie Ziegler – star of the Lifetime series Dance Moms (Abby Lee Dance Company = “ALDC”) and the film Ice Princess Lily, Maddie Ziegler’s younger sister and best friend, and well-known iced coffee and PB&J enthusiast. Cotton Candy will give Mackenzie a sweet competition, but it will last in the grand final, but Tulip can have whatever it takes to win this season’s Diamond Mask and increase the trophy collection.
