Marvel’s “Moon Knight”: Indie Auteurs Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead Board as directors (exclusive)

Diab is directing a considerable part of the episodes. Umbrella Academy ‘s Jeremy Slater is leading the writer’s office. It is understood that Benson and Moorhead will direct several episodes.

Moon Knight is one of Marvel’s cult characters who has had several different takes since his 1975 debut Werewolf at night # 32. He’s Marc Spector, a former Marine who became a mercenary whose multiple alter egos allow him to better fight crime. These alternative personas include taxi driver Jake Lockley and millionaire playboy Steven Grant.

In later comics, he was established as a channel for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu, while recently he was a consultant who dresses in white and goes by the name of Mr. Knight. Most of the writers who approached Moon Knight in recent years, he has portrayed him as a character with multiple personalities and a fragmented mental state.

The show is scheduled to start filming in Budapest from March.

Benson and Moorhead, who sometimes do all the work on their films, from writing, acting, directing, producing, filming and editing, have won accolades and followers on the low budget horror film festival circuit since 2013 Resolution.

Your 2014 film Spring premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and made Guillermo del Toro a fan of them while Without end, about brothers returning to a UFO cult that they escaped years ago, debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival with strong news (The Hollywood Reporter called it a “rich banquet of mind-boggling strangeness.”). The most recent of these was Synchronic, a science fiction thriller that starred Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan and was released on the 2019 TIFF before being released last year.

The duo also produced Amy Seimetz’s psychological thriller She dies tomorrow, which Neon launched in 2020.
