Once upon a time, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) was set to get his own film franchise or, at least, his own solo film. Now that Disney + has come true, however, that film has been converted into a long television series with a considerable budget for films. O Hawkeye film reporting comes from THR, which suggests that Marvel Studios originally developed the film long before Disney + was revealed.
The latest news confirms a report from years ago that Kevin Feige and his team were exploring ways to focus more on others Avengers characters who didn’t have their own franchise yet.
O Hawkeye Disney + show started production shortly after Thanksgiving Day and continues on the sound stage in and around Atlanta. Right at the height of the holiday season, Renner himself provoked the Christmas nature of the series.
“Thanks NYC for some Christmas memories”, the Hawkeye star shared on his Instagram page in December.
Despite being downgraded from theaters to Disney +, Marvel Studios is treating its television programs the same way it would treat theatrical releases.
“We are treating our programs as if we are making our films”, Hawkeye producer Trinh Tran previously told ComicBook.com about the value of the production behind the Disney + programs. “I mean, the feel and quality of these TV shows will be like the Marvel movies you’ve watched. So, it’s always been [Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige]The mindset of let’s make sure that when people watch these episodes, it looks like it’s just a long movie, except that instead of two and a half hours, it’s going to be much longer. And the idea behind certain characters receiving their shows is because we will have a lot more time to be able to develop those characters instead of the shorter ones. “
Hawkeye is scheduled for release later this year.
