The fans in the comments are reacting very well to an explanatory video attached to that post (which shows a player booting from the PS5 home screen to the game in about 34 seconds), with PC players commenting that even their machines are not seeing the same benefits. On Twitter, some users say the update is worth it just for the loading time. Series X players also reported similar performance in the new version of the Xbox game.
But an area of difference between the two consoles is in how the players in the latest versions update the game. Much has been done in a Twitter topic from the Avengers team, which explains in detail how to safely migrate a saved game from PS4 to the PS5 version.
The current system means keeping both the PS4 and PS5 versions installed, opening the fully updated PS4 version to migrate the data, and then opening the PS5 version to download it again. As many have pointed out, the process on Xbox series consoles is as simple as downloading the new version and opening it for the first time.
Of course, this is not simply a problem with Crystal Dynamics, with several PS4-PS5 updates causing problems for players – to the point that Sony has to add new features to avoid them.
I will always say that the PlayStation has a better original library than the XBox, but also the complicated way you have to update games from the latest generation to the current one is absolutely defeated by XBox’s Smart Delivery.
The hoops that the Avengers upgrade gets you through, woof.

Yesterday was a great day for the Avengers, as it released state-of-the-art versions and Hawkeye DLC, in addition to providing a roadmap for 2021 (including the Black Panther). We also learned that the game will not be free anytime soon and that Spider-Man will not enter the game before the Black Panther.
