The company said on Thursday that it plans to show the second part of its two Hawkeye story arc, which will be completed with Clint Barton DLC, along with the current generation versions of the game on February 16.
The first part of the Hawkeyes’ story, Kate Bishop – Taking AIM, launched in December 2020. Picking up just after the conclusion of the Marvel Avengers Reassembly campaign, she introduced a new villain, Super Adaptoid, whose skills and weapons mimic the Avengers’ attacks.
The Kate Bishop DLC was originally scheduled for release in October 2020, while the PS5 and Xbox versions “href =” https://www.videogameschronicle.com/platforms/xbox/ “> Xbox Series X / S for the game were planned for launch in November.
However, both were delayed so Crystal Dynamics could concentrate on fixing several problems with the existing game, which contributed to an ever lower player count.
Square Enix publisher “href =” https://www.videogameschronicle.com/companies/square-enix/ “> Square Enix later confirmed that Marvel’s Avengers did not make a profit during its launch month after“ slow initial sales ”.
Square Enix President Yosuke Matsuda “href =” https://www.videogameschronicle.com/people/yosuke-matsuda/ “> Yosuke Matsuda said in November that the company hoped to make up for the game’s poor initial performance with the release of a significant amount of new content in the six-month period ended March 31, 2021.
Crystal Dynamics also provided an update on the future of the Tomb Raider series this week. In a video outlining its plans for the franchise’s 25th anniversary this year, the studio revealed that Lara Croft’s next adventure will “unify” the timelines of Core Design’s original Tomb Raider games and her own reboot trilogy.
However, franchise game director Will Kerslake has also warned fans that the studio has no plans “for a major game announcement in the near future”.
