Marilyn Manson’s ex-wife Dita Von Teese speaks loudly amid allegations of abuse against the rocker

Marilyn Manson’s ex-wife, Dita Von Teese, is speaking out.

The rock star has been at the center of the scandal recently, after being accused of abusive behavior by several women, including actress Evan Rachel Wood.

Following Wood’s public allegations – in which she said she was “terribly abused” by Manson – at least four other women have filed similar charges. Manson denied the charges.

Now, Von Teese, 48, has released a statement via Instagram, stating that his “personal experience” with Manson, 52, was different. The ex-couple dated for six years before getting married in 2005. Von Teese finally filed for divorce a year later.

“Know that the details made public do not correspond to my personal experience during our 7 years as a couple”, explained the artist. “If they did, I wouldn’t have married him in December 2005.”

She explained that after a year of marriage, she left the relationship “because of infidelity and drug use”.

“Abuse of any kind has no place in any relationship,” added the dancer. “I urge those of you who have been abused to take steps to heal and the strength to fully realize themselves.”

On Monday, Wood, 33, claimed that Manson started “getting ready when I was a teenager.” She said that during their relationship, the rocker “brainwashed and manipulated her”.
