Maria Shriver and her son Patrick Schwarzenegger are proving that anything goes when it comes to what to wear for Christmas.

On Friday, the 65-year-old author and her 27-year-old son son were seen stepping out of their Christmas indulgence in some quirky clothes while strolling in Brentwood.

Shriver opted for a cowboy hat while walking next to Patrick, who appeared to have rolled out of bed wearing pajamas.

Shriver wore a pair of leggings and a festive red Christmas cardigan on the sidewalk, completing the look with a straw cowboy hat.

With her mask in her hand and some huge sunglasses on her face, she and Patrick got some fresh air in their sneakers.

The Midnight Sun actor immersed himself in the holiday spirit by wearing a matching green and white striped pajama set.

Opting for a dose of caffeine on the ride, he carried a cold drink in his hand before posting a video of himself with a Santa Claus filter on social media.

On Christmas Eve, the family, including Katherine Schwarzenegger and her husband Chris Pratt, got together to attend a virtual mass at Maria’s home.

Pratt shared a video of him and Katherine with their newborn daughter, Lyla, as they celebrated their first Christmas surrounded by close relatives.

Shriver tweeted, ‘Merry Christmas! May today be a day of joy, peace, calm. May we all try to reach other people on this day. Many are struggling, many are alone. The sound of your voice will mark someone’s day. God bless everyone here and everyone who works today so that others can be safe. ‘

Doing something charitable for the community before Christmas, Shriver, Patrick and their son Christopher joined the Plating Change organization to donate 5,000 meals to the needy in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Around Thanksgiving Day, the family talked about building new traditions, as the pandemic destroyed many typical gatherings across the country.

A family tradition around the holidays is to distribute meals at the local church, which was prevented because of the virus.

‘It’s a little weird when you’re not physically doing something, you know, you can always find ways to donate financially, but when you really go, and that’s part of our family’s tradition every year, so it will be interesting to see too. ‘

Shriver told Fox, ‘Let’s have a new tradition’, as everyone continues to cut their vacation plans and adjust to the new normal, while adding to their family’s health was the most important thing.
