Maren Morris and Luke Combs to discuss responsibility in the country

Luke Combs and Maren Morris will participate in an online question and answer session on February 17, during the Country Radio Seminar, which will focus on responsibility and their roles as artists. The Country Radio Seminar 2021, held as a virtual event due to the Covid-19 pandemic, takes place from 16 to 19 February.

Moderated by critic Ann Powers, the conversation will take a look at what this new generation of stars like Combs and Morris see as their responsibilities, as well as address the troubled past of country music and reshape it for the better. Registered participants of CRS 2021: The Virtual Experience can attend the session at 4:00 pm ET on February 17. Registration is available on the CRS website.

The event comes in the middle of an important week for country artists, with Morgan Wallen being pulled from playlists by radio conglomerates and other platforms because of the use of racial slander on Sunday. Earlier this week, Combs was the subject of an online discussion when older photos of him emerged, including images of the Confederacy flag. Combs has not yet commented on the images.

CRS 2021 also includes Luke Bryan as the theme of the annual CRS Artist Interview, record label sponsored performances and the New Faces showcase featuring Tenille Arts, Travis Denning, Ashley McBryde, Hardy and Matt Stell.
