Moise Kean practically sealed PSG’s victory by adding third in the 70th minute before Mbappe closed his hat-trick.
Barcelona were pushing for another goal to help their cause, but Julian Draxler stole the ball at the entrance to the PSG area and started the escape,
After a clever exchange with two of his teammates, Draxler took the ball in the opposite direction before sliding Mbappe to the left.
Mbappe still had a lot to do and had time to add a touch, but he did an impressive kick the first time around the top corner before leaving in celebration.
Man Utd star Rashford was more than impressed, writing on Twitter: “What a performance.”
Borussia Dortmund forward Sancho scored Mbappe in his post and simply put: “Big player!”
Sancho also included a frozen face emoji, probably in reference to the attacker’s cold finish.
It was a superb performance by the 22-year-old, who is already being heralded as the beginning of a new era.
BT Sport presenter and fervent Messi fan Gary Lineker tweeted: “A @ KMbappe hattrick. We may be witnessing the changing of the guard.”
