March 4 Fear of attack on Capitol Hill grows as conspiracy theorists speak of Trump’s return

Fears of another attack on Capitol increased in the days and hours leading up to March 4, the next significant date on the QAnon calendar. Despite the Q’s countless failed predictions, supporters of former President Donald Trump and the proliferation of conspiracy theory believe that Thursday will be the day that the former president will be sworn in again.

On Wednesday, the United States Capitol Police (USCP) announced that it had discovered threats from militia groups to breach the Capitol building on March 4. The “possible plot” seemed to be connected to QAnon’s theory that Trump would return to office on that date, when the presidents were sworn in before 1933.

“The United States Capitol Police Department is aware of and prepared for any potential threats to members of Congress or the Capitol complex,” officials said in a statement. “We obtained intelligence that shows a possible conspiracy to violate the Capitol by a militia group identified on Thursday, March 4.”

Two unidentified police officers told the Associated Press that the online threats included conversations from people involved with the Three Percenters, an anti-establishment militia group that participated in the January 6 invasion of the Capitol. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity. is not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

Timothy Blodgett, the acting House weapons sergeant, told Congressional lawmakers earlier this week that “there was no indication that the groups will travel to Washington DC to protest or commit acts of violence”.

Today, he informed them of “new and worrying information and intelligence indicating additional interest in the Capitol for the dates of March 4 to 6 by a militia group.” Lawmakers shut down quickly about half an hour before midnight on Wednesday after the warning.

The USCP has confirmed that it is stepping up security measures in the area for fear that the violence seen on January 6 will be repeated.

“Based on the intelligence we have, the Department took immediate steps to improve our security and personnel posture for several days, including March 4,” said Capitol Police. “The Department communicated our improved stance, as well as the intelligence available to the entire workforce.”

Conversation about an incident increased among QAnon supporters in the days before March 4.

“I can’t wait until the inauguration, on March 4, of the first real president in years,” wrote a believer on a major QAnon channel in the Telegram messaging app.

“God has planned all this for many years. I have to love this president. Not much more now. March 4 will be our victory dance,” wrote another.

“The real POTUS can’t get back to the office fast enough. March 4th, at the latest … PLEASE GOD!”

On Thursday, administrators at another popular QAnon forum urged believers to “stay home, alert and safe”.

There is no real indication of what QAnon supporters are planning for tomorrow. However, some online believers are certain that Trump would arrive on the scene to finally execute the long-awaited “storm” – that is, by ordering mass arrests and executions of satanic pedophilia that are part of the “deep state”.

Supporters of QAnon initially believed that the “storm” would occur on January 20. But when that prediction did not happen, some changed the date to March 4. They doubled the belief when it was reported that the Trump International Hotel in DC had stumbled on room prices to $ 1,331 on that date.

Then, the US Marshal posted a tweet about Abraham Lincoln’s tenure on March 4, 1861, which further fueled the conspiracy theory.
