Love-Robinson, 23, was arrested Thursday morning at Palm Beach County Jail in South Florida on charges of theft and fraud, prison records show.
CNN tried to contact Love-Robinson for comment.
According to a Delray Beach Police Department statement of probable cause, Love-Robinson, a hired employee of a ship broker, is accused of stealing from his employer in early 2020, redirecting company payments to his personal accounts , causing a total loss of $ 10,129.81.
According to the testimony, Love-Robinson’s employer showed police screenshots of text conversations in which Love-Robinson allegedly claimed that he “had fun” and was “doing it all” [he] you can do it right. ”
“I don’t want to go to jail,” said another text message, according to the statement. Love-Robinson later told his employer that he had returned the money, but the employer told the police that no money was received, the deposition said.
According to prison records, Love-Robinson was released from Palm Beach County Jail on Thursday night.
Love-Robinson first had problems with the Florida Department of Health in October 2015, which filed for a cease and desist order accusing him of practicing medicine without a license, a department spokesman told CNN.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s narcotics unit, along with the Florida Department of Health, conducted an operation in which an undercover police officer visited Love-Robinson’s office. Love-Robinson physically examined the police and provided medical advice, according to the sheriff’s office, culminating in his arrest.
At the time of his arrest, he was 18, but his profile on a medical review site listed his age as 25. The site said the information was provided by Love-Robinson, his office or on his behalf.
At the time, Love-Robinson denied the allegations, saying he never portrayed himself as a doctor, but as having a doctorate.
