A man was captured by the camera defiantly waving a “TRUMP 2024” flag while skating on the Central Park ice skating rink on Saturday – after Mayor Bill de Blasio announced he would close the rink early to put the ex-president on the ice .
President Donald Trump-booster was seen flying the huge red and blue flag on the Woolman Rink on Saturday – the day before Hizzoner was set to close it along with the park’s popular Lasker Rink.
“You know this is a really good ending to close tomorrow”, you can hear a teenager who filmed the flag-waving scene – while another viewer shouts “wow!”
The name of the apparent protester was not clear on Sunday.
But skaters on the two Central Park rinks said this weekend that they were devastated because their time on the ice was shortened this year – after the Post reported that de Blasio would close the rinks six weeks before their typical closing dates for April.
Last month, Hizzoner said he would cancel the city’s contracts with the Trump Organization, accusing then President Trump of encouraging protesters to invade the Capitol.
Trump’s business group, led by his sons Donald Jr. and Eric, has been running the rinks for more than three decades.
