Man suspected of killing a woman who would testify at the Donthe Lucas murder trial in Pueblo

DENVER (KKTV) – A man is wanted by authorities in Colorado for being suspected of killing a woman who would testify at a trial in Pueblo that gained national attention.

On Thursday, the Denver Police shared a photo of Emmanuel Chandler, 29, which can be seen at the beginning of this article. He is suspected of first-degree murder in connection with a gunshot death that took Roxann Martinez’s life.

Martinez was an “endorsed” witness at the Donthe Lucas trial. Lucas is suspected of killing his then pregnant girlfriend, Kelsie Schelling, in 2013. So far, Schelling’s body has not been found and Lucas’s trial is underway.

On Wednesday, Denver police said they did not suspect any connection between the shooting and the trial.

Martinez was killed on the night of February 26 in the area of ​​E. Kenyon Drive and S. Wabash Street in Denver. She was supposed to be a prosecution witness at Lucas’ trial.
