AVONDALE, AZ – Avondale police are looking for a suspect after a shooting in the parking lot of an IHOP near Interstate 10 and Dysart Road on Sunday morning.
Police said the incident occurred around 10:30 am, when they were called to the scene in reference to a shooting.
Initial information is that James Archuleta, 24, was shot by an unknown suspect who fled the scene before the police arrived, officials said.
The victim was then transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Avondale Police Department is now looking for a new gray or silver BMW sedan model believed to be involved in the shooting.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and the suspect is pending.
