Man shot dead outside his girlfriend’s apartment in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida. – The surveillance video captured a fatal shooting on Valentine’s Day in Fort Lauderdale.

According to Fort Lauderdale police, the victim was shot at around 4:25 pm on Sunday outside his girlfriend’s building on block 1100 on Northwest Third Avenue.

Surveillance video shows the victim, identified as Harry Garcon, 31, from Miami-Dade County, speaking to two men on the street just before he was shot by one of them.

Witnesses told police that Garcon approached the duo because he believed they were involved in the theft of his car, which was captured on surveillance video the day before.

Detectives believe that the culprits may be young.
