The video of the scene shows your rented SUV riddled with bullet holes.
The City of Friendswood posted on Facebook, saying the man was shot at close range several times at 9:22 pm Tuesday while he was sitting in his car.
The restaurant manager told ABC13 that the man took the food, went to the car and that was when the shots were fired.
An ambulance transported the man to the hospital, where he was operated on.
Friendswood police said two suspects, one armed with a long gun and the other with a pistol, shot the man several times through the closed window of the rental vehicle.
The men fled, but witnesses saw them getting into a vehicle parked on Bay Area Boulevard.
Friendswood police say witnesses have provided police with suspicious information and that investigators are tracking the clues.
No one inside the store was hurt.
Authorities say the investigation indicates that the shooting is related to recent shooting incidents in the Galveston County area.
