SIOUX COUNTY, Iowa (KTIV) – Two people were sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident on Friday morning near Orange City, Iowa.
The Sioux County sheriff’s office said that around 10 am a tractor driven by Joshua Sievers of Le Mars, Iowa, 41, was traveling south on Highway 60 when his vehicle was hit by an SUV.
The sheriff’s office says the SUV headed south, driven by 26-year-old Sioux City’s Jodie Huju, hit the tractor from behind on the road.
During the accident, the tractor tumbled to the side and Sievers was ejected from the vehicle.
Both drivers were transported to an Orange City hospital to treat their injuries. Sievers was later taken to a Sioux Falls hospital for further treatment.
Huju was cited for being too close to the tractor.
The accident remains under investigation.
