Man arrested for firearm crimes near the vice president’s official residence: Police

Police said a rifle and ammunition were recovered from his vehicle.

A man was arrested on Wednesday for crimes with firearms and ammunition near the residence of the official vice president at the Washington Naval Observatory, police said.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, 31-year-old Paul Murray, from San Antonio, Texas, was arrested by the Secret Service and arrested. A rifle and ammunition were recovered from his vehicle, police said.

Vice President Kamala Harris is not living in the residence while she is undergoing renovations. She is residing at Blair House.
