KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A Charleston man faces murder charges for the deaths of his parents, says the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department.
Takanao Kambara, 26, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, deputies say.
The bodies of Kambara’s parents were found Thursday morning at his home along the 1700 block of Kanawha State Forest Drive – “killed by apparent lacerations,” according to the sheriff’s department.
MPs say Kambara shared the house with his parents and was seen “stacking paintings” across the street from that house on Thursday morning.

It took place on block 1700 of Kanawha State Forest Drive near Davis Creek on Thursday morning.
Two bodies, which deputies believe are a man and a woman, were found inside a house.

It happened on block 1700 of Kanawha State Forest Drive near Davis Creek on Thursday morning.
Two bodies, which deputies believe are a man and a woman, were found inside a house.
Dirty game is suspected.
Authorities are interviewing neighbors and another resident of the house.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Delegates from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a double homicide.
It happened on block 1700 of Kanawha State Forest Drive on Thursday.
According to the sheriff’s office, they received a call about a disturbance. When they entered the scene, the door was open. They went in and found two bodies.
Investigators say they believe a man and a woman were killed.
There is no word on the relationship between the victims.
Deputies interrogate another resident who lives inside the house.
The crime unit is on site.
No further information was released.
