Man accused of interrupting the flight for not wearing a mask, urinating in the cabin

A Colorado man is facing federal charges after he allegedly refused to wear a mask while on board an Alaska Airlines flight and urinated in the cabin during an interaction with airline employees, according to a new report.

Police said Canon City’s 24-year-old Landon Grier slapped a flight attendant who asked him to wear a mask while trying to sleep on the flight from Seattle to Denver, according to the Associated Press.

The FAA requires that all domestic passengers traveling on United States airplanes wear facial covers at all times during their travel.

Later, another passenger called the flight attendants back to Grier’s cabin area because he was urinating in the seating area.

Grier reportedly admitted to drinking before boarding the plane and told FBI investigators that he “woke up to shouts from flight attendants who said he was peeing”.

“He said he did not remember hitting the commissioner and did not know whether he was peeing,” the police said in a report of the incident.
