Make this Pro Bowl Madden stream normal

No, this is not the case for keeping the Pro Bowl in a virtual environment forever. Hopefully, someday soon, we will travel normally so that players who won can travel to Orlando. But the NFL Madden Stream worked, when it comes to quality content.

If you missed it over the weekend, the league decided to broadcast an official Pro Bowl broadcast, which was played virtually on Madden 21 by athletes and celebrities, including Snoop Dogg and Marshawn Lynch. Although the game itself has come under criticism for its flaws and repeatability – in many ways, little has changed in the series for several years – but it is still Madden. For football fans, it is still the best way to play football virtually. Other independent attempts, such as Maximum Football and Axis Football, simply have no budget to support themselves as nothing more than an arcade-style alternative, at best. One could joke that this is what Madden has come down to, but this is neither here nor there.

And the favorite savior of football games, 2K Sports, has not released a football title since the legendary NFL 2K5. The company closed a deal with the NFL, announced last year, but the launch will be limited “football game experience without simulation. ”So it will probably be an arcade game on a better budget.

Regarding the flow of the Pro Bowl, three things were immediately clear.

1) TThat would be a missed opportunity if the NFL didn’t try to build that piece of content. All leagues and, in fact, companies in general, must add resources to develop their digital presence in ways other than just posting a few random self-promotion. It gets old and tacky fast. People need to lean towards video games as a method of exploring other generations of people who play more than they watch. How many people do you know who would rather play Madden than watch a real-life football game? Furthermore, it only adds versatility to the type of content you would produce, which the NFL could use due to its shortcomings elsewhere, such as hiring black coaches.

2) Lengaging in video games doesn’t have to revolve around the real Pro Bowl – but it does require a constant supply of engaging personalities, even if it’s just three or four at a time, to host the event. The Pro Bowl broadcast worked because of the eight players involved: Deshaun Watson, Keyshawn Johnson, Derrick Henry and Snoop by the AFC, who faced Kyler Murray, Bubba Wallace, Jamal Adams and Lynch for NFC, along with presenters Charissa Thompson and Michael Strahan. The broadcast itself was performed as a live show, but it was clearly beforerecorded, which was pprobably a brilliant idea on the part of the league, given the amount of curses that had to beep. (I’d love to hear bad words, but I don’t blame them for censoring the Pro Bowl. That’s different.)

3) TSuch meetings would generate stars in a sport in which athletes must wear helmets. Football players are difficult to market because, even in the case of some big names, a large part of the general public could not even say with confidence what they know what they know look like – forget how hilarious they can be on Twitch or YouTube. As expected, Lynch stole the show, but everyone had at least some moments worthy of coil.

In a sport where long careers are rare, it would also be a productive way for players to develop their presence outside the field, using their personalities and everything else they can offer in these flows. And if, during a random conversation, that we learn that an offensive guard is a cook worthy of a chef. Or that a back running back, a player you know from fantasy, is a legitimate poet. Or that your favorite slot cornerback is an expert encoder. Or that any of these guys is a monster in Madden.

Much like the real Pro Bowl, the results wouldn’t matter. When people listen to podcasts, they care about the dynamics before anything. The same rules apply to Twitch. Just create good content, regardless of how it “acts”, because if you’re smart, you’ll measure things by impact, not by numbers. And a regular display would have an impact if presented to us correctly and consistently.
