“The truth is, I’m devastated,” Clare posted on Instagram on Thursday. “This was not what I expected or expected and I am still trying to process it.”
Clare Crawley broke the “The Bachelorette” franchise in half – almost literally – when she gave up after 12 days to run away and get engaged to Dale Moss, a guy she apparently fell in love with the moment he got out of the limo.
It turns out, though, that she chased him on Instagram during the quarantine, so she had some idea of who he was … or at least who she thought he was. Most people carefully select their persona online, so it’s never clear whether what you’re getting is real or not.

But what is apparently very real is that Clare’s relationship with Dale started on Instagram, since that was when she started to get sensations, and apparently that is where she ended up too, since Clare certainly seems to be indicating that this is where she found that they had “mutually” decided to give up.
Two days after Dale broke the news to the world via Instagram that the fastest wedding couple on “The Bachelorette” was over, Clare replied that “I needed some time to really digest this”.
“I was informed of a ‘mutual’ statement at the same time as all of you,” she explained. “This was not what I expected or expected and I am still trying to process it.”

Without spilling any tea on the reasons for the breakup, Clare emphasized that her “intentions with this relationship have always been clear, so the truth is, I am devastated.”
After talking about some of the struggles he faced throughout 2020, including his mother’s declining health, Clare reiterated his earlier point: “Our relationship was not perfect, but I can say that I was genuinely invested with all my heart.”
“I may not have all the answers, but I know that,” she concluded her thoughts. “I will continue to show up, keep my word and commit to love.”
Appearing was a mantra for Clare throughout her reduced time on “The Bachelorette”, although many ended up questioning whether she really appeared to any of the other contestants the way she did for Dale.

If she had allowed the process to go through to completion, meeting all the other guys and maybe even listening to some of her concerns expressed about her chosen lover, maybe she would have found a different outcome.
Only time will tell if Clare’s replacement, Tayshia Adams, found true and lasting love with Zac Adams – who was one of Clare’s original suitors – but they at least had a little more time together on the show to see what each one really was. about before diving into the engagement.
Of course, it may not have made much of a difference. The single nation’s relationships have been almost as unpredictable as those in the real world. And they had breakouts as strange as this one – if not generally so public.

Dale was the first to break the news to America – and supposedly to Clare – with an Instagram post on Tuesday, where he clearly seemed to be speaking for both of them. “Clare and I decided to go our separate ways,” he wrote.
“We appreciate the love and support we have received from so many people, but this is the healthiest decision for both of us right now.” And yet, according to Clare, she was not aware of that decision until he made it and made it public. Dale has not yet responded to his claim.
“We only hope for the best for each other,” he concluded, adding the caption: “Please respect our privacy while we work on this together”.
