Mack Wilson responds to Patrick Mahomes’ mother after she called him evil

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a concussion in the second half of the Kansas City AFC Divisional Round win over the Cleveland Browns after a stroke by linebacker Mack Wilson.

Mahomes suffered the concussion, despite not taking a blow to Wilson’s head. It looked like Mahomes’ head hit the pitch after the initial contact, but on the whole it was a clean blow from the Browns linebacker.

This did not stop Mahomes’ mother from calling Wilson on social media.

In the moments after the blow that injured his son, Randi Mahomes accessed Twitter and called Wilson “bad guy” for the tackle.

Wilson and Patrick Mahomes had an elegant social media exchange after the game, but news of Randi’s tweet reached Wilson. And on Monday, the Browns linebacker responded to Randi Mahomes to explain that he was not a dirty player.

“I just want to win and be great as your son,” wrote Wilson.

Later, she would respond to Wilson’s tweet, crushing any bad feelings.

Mahomes is currently in the NFL’s concussion protocol and must go through a five-step process to be able to play in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against Bills. If he can’t make it, Reserve Chad Henne will start with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.
