Lynda Carter replaces Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman DCEU in Deepfake Video

The original TV series, Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, takes on Gal Gadot as Prince Diana of DCEU in a new fake and truly impressive video.

Lynda Carter replaces Gal Gadot as the DCEU Wonder Woman in an amazing new deepfake video. Long before Gadot played DC superhero Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman on the big screen, Carter gave the character the treatment of the small screen in a TV series that spanned four seasons and 59 episodes in the 1970s.

Although the original Wonder Woman show now looks tacky in many ways, Carter’s performance as Wonder Woman is still considered an icon by many fans. That’s why so many people were thrilled to see Carter finally arrive at the DCEU in Wonder Woman 1984, playing the character Asteria in a short scene of half credits. Of course, Carter previously appeared in another modern DC TV adaptation, playing President Olivia Marsdin in Supergirl.

Given the special place that Carter still holds in the hearts of many Wonder Woman fans, it’s a shame that she never had a chance to play her most famous character on the big screen. But now, thanks to deepfake technology, Carter has received his opportunity to join DCEU as Wonder Woman, replacing Gadot in a new stimulating clip from DeepFaker. Watch the video in the space below:

Using footage from the first Wonder Woman DeepFaker uses deepfake technology to perfectly replace Gadot’s face with Carter’s. The clip is not concerned with addressing any dialogue scenes, however, instead, it uses music to convey the emotion of Carter’s “performance” as Wonder Woman in scenes from Patty Jenkins’ film. It turns out that Carter arriving at the DCEU returns the favor of a previous deepfake video, also from DeepFaker, which put Gadot in the 1970s Wonder Woman TV program.

The fact that Carter and Gadot can easily switch places between the new films and the original TV show only proves how immutable the Wonder Woman character has become in terms of appearance. Of course, the new films are much more visually impressive than the show, which was done on a modest 1970s TV network budget and couldn’t do much in terms of effects. But in spirit, the films and the series are not so different and, in fact, Wonder Woman 1984 in many ways, it returned to the tone of the TV show, at least in some of its most joyful scenes (other scenes, of course, took things in a heavier direction). The above deepfake seems to prove that it was the right time for Carter to play Wonder Woman in a big budget adaptation of the comics, she would have no problem bringing the character to life on the big screen for DC fans.
