BATON ROUGE – With the final game played at the Southeast Conference on Sunday, the seeds and pairings are set for the SEC 2021 Tournament, which will begin Wednesday at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
LSU, 16-8 overall and 11-6 at the conference, won a double bye for the third consecutive season (the only SEC team in the past three years to win double bye in 2019, 2020 and 2021), and will play Friday Friday night in the final game of the quarterfinals, Friday, against the winner of No. 6 Ole Miss and No. 11 South Carolina. This game will be the final game on Thursday night in the second round.
LSU, with its 11 wins this season, won the top 39 SEC games of the regular season in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
The LSU game on Friday night will be televised by the SEC Network and broadcast on LSU Sports Radio Network affiliates (Guaranty Media affiliate, Eagle 98.1 FM).
Alabama is the No. 1 seed with Arkansas in the two seeds LSU won the third seed with their victory in Missouri on Saturday. The final seed went to Tennessee, with his 65-54 home win over Florida on Sunday.
Florida fell to the fifth seed.
