LSU Tigers hit ESPN Jr. 300 offensive tackle Will Campbell

LSU got off to a quick start in the 2022 recruiting cycle and added to its class on Saturday when ESPN Junior 300 striker Will Campbell announced his commitment to the Tigers.

Campbell is ranked 62nd overall, a 1.80m tall, 275-pound tackle from Neville High School in Monroe, Louisiana, and is ranked 3rd in the state. He chose LSU over Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, TCU and Tennessee.

Its commitment gives LSU seven ESPN Jr. 300 commitments in the class, which is the third only to Ohio State (10) and Penn State (8). He is the second commit of the ESPN Jr. 300 offensive line in the class with Lucas Taylor and the fifth commit of the offensive line of the class.

The highest-rated commitment at this point is quarterback Walker Howard, prospect number 30 in the overall ranking and the third double threat quarterback in the class.

With Howard and Campbell committed, LSU has verbal promises from all four ESPN Jr. 300 Louisiana recruits who have announced an appointment.

The best recruiter in the state, wide receiver Shazz Preston, has yet to announce an appointment, but has LSU in its core group along with Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Mississippi, Oregon, Texas and Texas A&M.
