Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew announced that they are splitting up, three months after being crowned the winners of CBS’s Love Island last year.

The ex-lovebirds, who made history as the first black couple to win in the franchise, revealed the shocking news on their respective Instagram accounts this weekend.

‘It really is a strange feeling to be tying this up, but I understand that my reality now is having to share some aspects of my life with all of you, regardless of how private I would like to remain at times,’ wrote the 27-year-old star of the reality show from Rockway, New Jersey, who participated in the second season of Love Island America.

The billing coordinator and go-go dancer continued: ‘This is extremely difficult for me to express, but out of respect for those of you who supported me and rode for me, I want you to know that Caleb and I are no longer together. ‘

As she goes through ‘the process of heartbreak and healing’, Ndiba thanks more than 397,000 followers for her ‘love and support’ during this ‘very difficult’ period.

On Sunday, Corprew broke the silence and shared a heartfelt post on Instagram wishing his ex-girlfriend ‘the absolute best and continued success, as God blesses her with new opportunities and adventures’.
