Love Island USA is renewed for a third season: ‘We are saying Aloha to Hawaii’

Fans of the American version of Love Island can breathe easy after the series has been renewed for a third season by CBS.

Love Island USA’s Instagram account shared the news on Wednesday with a fake text message announcing the renewal.

‘I RECEIVED A TEXT … Love Island is BACK for the third season and this time we are saying aloha to Hawaii’, read the caption.

The image featured an enlarged Google Maps image in Hawaii, although it was unclear where exactly on the island-state the show would take place, since the island called ‘Ilha do Amor’ does not exist.

‘Season 3 is coming’, read the fake text apparently sent by CBS, which added the hashtags ‘#Aloha,’ ‘#BackOnIslandTime’ and ‘#ItsTheNewSeasonForMe.’

The renewal was also announced by CBS senior executive vice president of programming, Thom Sherman, during the network’s press tour event.

So far, no cast members for the next season have been revealed, and a premiere date has not been announced.

American actress Arielle Vandenberg hosted the first two seasons of Love Island USA and chaired the elimination ceremonies.

It has not been announced whether she will return, but she has reinstated the renewal announcement in her Insta stories.
