Louis Gossett, Jr. I can tell you how bad COVID is … he has it, he was hospitalized because of it, but he left because it sucks shows inside.
Sources linked to the Oscar-winning actor tell TMZ … the 84-year-old test was positive and he was so sick he couldn’t even stand. He was taken to a hospital in the Georgia area, where he stayed for just a few days before fleeing. He was said to have been placed in an area with all the other COVID patients, and the wave of deaths scared him.
The hospital staff begged him to stay – given his age and underlying conditions, including cancer – but Louis was determined to leave, and he did. He left on Tuesday.
Louis – best known for his award-winning roles in “An Officer and a Gentleman” and “Roots” – says to TMZ and everyone else: “Please wear masks, social distance, isolate yourself, pray and listen inside . We cannot survive without another one. “

Louis is now at home with his son … and he is isolating himself.
He’s recovering at home now, but he’s not out of danger for a long shot. Your friends and family are asking for personal messages of healing and love @LoveLettertToLou.
