‘Lost’ TV shows: when ‘Russian Doll’ ‘Orville’ and others will return

In these COVID times, more than ever, TV shows tend to “disappear” after being renewed. Let’s see if TVLine can help you find your favorite MIA!

The list below covers two and only two types of programs, so pay close attention to these guidelines:

♦ Renovated a long time ago, but it has been crickets ever since.

♦ Last aired more than seven months ago and there is still no official word on cancellation or renewal.

Periodt.

That is no a renewed / canceled scorecard (we have many of them). Far from it. No, this is an annual status report on selected programs that were out of sight, but no out of mind for your extremely patient fans.

In all, our careful curation below provides the latest words from more than two dozen “missing” shows, including critics’ darlings (like Netflix’s) Russian doll, FX’s Pose and what is now from Hulu The Orville), worthwhile jewelry (such as Raising Dion and Carnival Row), and basic cable favorites (such as Queen of the South and The Bold Type)

Some open TV programs even appeared on this year’s “MIA”, including Fox’s Beat Shazam (one of the few reality shows we care about) and CBS ‘ Blood and Treasure.

FYI: Shows that we learned that it had been quietly canceled / not coming back (and have already been reported as such) include High maintenance, The Twilight Zone, What / If and At home with Amy Sedaris.

Read the list below and then access the comments and tell us which TV series are you (still!) impatiently waiting for. What if your favorite “forgotten” program it is not presented here, be sure to check out our broadcast, cable and streaming renewal Scorecards – or send an email to [email protected] to issue a CAKE!
