Los Angeles area shaken by three earthquakes

A trio of earthquakes rocked the Los Angeles area on Monday morning, with the largest reaching a magnitude of 4.0.

The earthquake was recorded at 7:44 am ET and centralized in the Lennox area, according to the United States Geological Survey. The great quake was felt throughout southern California.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a tweet that “a 4.0 earthquake in Inglewood rocked the Los Angeles area this morning,” and the Los Angeles Fire Department conducted a survey in the city and “reported no damage” .

Previously, two earthquakes with magnitudes of 3.3 and 2.5 shook the same area around 7:15 am ET.

“The house crashed,” Dorothy Allen, a resident, told NBC Los Angeles. There were no reports of damage, according to the affiliate.
