The Deck and Dungeon Building Roguelite RPG Loop Hero is getting some much needed quality of life improvements in an upcoming update, the game developers announced yesterday. The most important of these corrections? Finally allowing you to save your game.

Technically, Loop Hero already does this, saving all progress automatically as you complete your expeditions. But there is no way to save the game while you are in the middle of the adventure, which may not seem like a big deal until 2 am and you are falling asleep on your computer, looking for resources unable to log out without destroying your progress.

A current alternative to this is simply to leave the game running all the time, which is what I started doing recently and why Steam told me that I’ve already played almost 150 hours of Loop Hero. Even this system is not entirely proof, subject to the nefarious whims of the Windows update logic, as well as user error when you think you paused the game to make dinner, but in fact it continued to work and now your little pixelated sprite is dead and buried and you lost the value of an hour of plunder.

In short: yes, a rescue feature in the middle of the expedition will be great. Four Quarters also says that more speed settings, another feature often requested, since Loop HeroThe repetition of can make your initial game quite routine and tedious after a while, will also come soon. “After that, you can expect to see a lot more content added to the game, like new cards, transformations, classes and new music. We can’t wait to share more updates with you soon! ”The studio writes.

This is incredible news because I love Loop Hero and I can’t wait to try out new weird combinations of cards and classes. His music is also excellent. I just wish there was more of that. If you haven’t checked out yet Loop Hero for you still, well, you should. It is like Kill the spire finds Dota Chess turned into an 8-bit version of SimCity for the NES.
