Loop Hero sold 500,000 copies in the first week

Deck Hero mashup and dungeon mashup Loop Hero sold 500,000 copies in its first week, Four Quarters developers announced. Along with the celebration of this success, they revealed some of their plans to boost the loop with additional resources. They are planning some changes in quality of life to begin with, and bigger changes, like new classes in the future.

If you’re not familiar, Loop Hero is a mix of deck building, automatic battle and dungeon. Your deck includes cards like monsters, buildings and terrain that you will place along the way for your hero to find. If they manage to successfully overcome your obstacle course, you can invest your loot earned in your camp to make them stronger for the next generated loop.

As for these updates, “below, we are working on patches with quality of life updates that you all requested, including a system to save during expeditions, new speed settings and a set of features obtained from the bosses,” Four Rooms says . “After that, you can expect to see a lot more content added to the game, such as new cards, transformations, classes and new music.”

The ability to save money during expeditions is one of the modern conveniences that sounds particularly pleasant. As for new classes, more options are also always fun. I appreciate that instead of a standard elemental wizard as its third main class, Loop Hero already has my personal favorite, the Necromancer. I suspect that some of you who have been playing Loop Hero probably have their own additional class wish lists.

If you have not yet entered the circuit, Kat Bailey explained how it fits into the deep history of RPG. “It is a very intelligent mash-up, managing to evoke all the memories of classic RPGs with a simple and well-adjusted configuration,” she says. “In particular, it captures very well why dungeon trackers still resonate after all these years – the sense of discovery as you build the map, the sense of danger when weighing the benefits and disadvantages of yet another run, the satisfaction of build your hero on a steamroller in real time. ”

It looks like a good time. Adjusting to that, he entered the list of 14 major RPS games in March.
