Loop Hero, the old school adventure game from Four Quarters released yesterday and already has more than 150,000 players.
Published by Devolver Digital, Loop Hero was announced at The Game Awards 2020 to launch this year.
Coming to Steam on March 4, the game already has an extremely positive score, with 1,289 reviews so far.
In Loop Hero, the world was launched into an eternal loop, plunging its inhabitants into chaos. Using an expanding deck of cards, you’ll position enemies, buildings and terrain along the path of each expedition to piece together your hero’s memories and restore balance to the world.
You will also retrieve and equip loot for each class of hero for battles and expand the survivors’ camp to reinforce each adventure through the loop.
Unlock new classes, new cards and guardians on your mission to interrupt the “infinite cycle of despair”.
No hero expedition is always the same and only those with sufficient resources will be able to overcome the guardian bosses as they strive to break the Lich’s time cycle.

- Infinite adventure: select unlockable character classes and playing cards before starting each expedition along a randomly generated circular path. No expedition is the same as the previous ones.
- Plan your fight: strategically position enemy construction, terrain and cards along each turn to create your own dangerous path. Find a balance between the cards to increase your chances of survival while recovering loot and valuable resources for your camp.
- Loot and Upgrade: Take down threatening creatures, recover stronger loot to equip yourself quickly, and unlock new perks along the way.
- Expand your camp: Transform hard-earned resources into camp upgrades and earn valuable reinforcements for every lap completed along the expedition path.
- Save the Lost World: Overcome a series of profane guardian bosses in a great saga to save the world and break the Lich loop
