LOOK: Mizzou uniform combination revealed for South Carolina game

I’m not sure if I really think it’s my favorite uniform combo of all time, but the equipment the Tigers used at Armageddon in Arrowhead 2007 will always occupy the most important place in my uniform hierarchy:

Block M helmets, white shirts, gold pants. A simple and clean look that I will always endorse.

Why do I mention this? Well, the 2020 version of the Tigers came very close to replicating that. Check out:

Golden pants? Checks! White jersey? Checks! M block on helmets? Check inexplicably! I absolutely love that the Drinkwtiz regime is fully embracing the retro logo and helmet design.

But wait … that helmet … is it … yellow?

Hnngh.

Vanderbilt has gold helmets. Colorado has gold helmets. Notre Dame has gold helmets. Missouri really can’t find a way to get gold helmets? Do I just get a headache looking at these yellow hats?

Regardless, take the wins when you can: Missouri is really playing a game this week and is rolling with the M block.
