The NCAA.com Team of the Week, Long Beach State, continued its trajectory at the Big West Conference, extending its winning streak to 10 games last week, with two wins over UC Santa Barbara.
Beach, who improved to 11-1 overall and 10-0 in Big West, led the way in two victories for junior guard / striker Jasmine Hardy, who received a pair of doubles and was rewarded with the Big West player of the prize of the week on Monday.

On February 5, Hardy set a new career record in points (19) and rebounds (14), in addition to adding three steals and a block in 37 minutes of action, in Beach’s 61-49 victory over UC Santa Barbarian.
On Saturday night, Long Beach State scored a 70-55 victory over UC Santa Barbara, with four players scoring double digits, led by Justina King’s 17-point performance. King also added a career record with nine assists to go along with six rebounds and four steals.
Hardy supported King with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while contributing to a block and an assist in 33 minutes of play. In addition, Patricia Chung left the bench and scored another double-digit scoring game, with the freshman finishing with 13 points and two rebounds and two assists.

Completing Beach’s top scorer, Ma’Qhi Berry scored 11 points in the evening, adding three rebounds and two assists. In addition, Kristyna Jeskeova scored her sixth double-digit rebound game of the season by withdrawing 13 bags, while adding up to a career record with six steals, five points, two blocks and an assist.
Long Beach State will be back in action on Friday, February 12, when they will host UC Davis. The Aggies will arrive 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the Big West game. The Beach and UC Davis will meet again on Saturday, February 13.
