Loki and Star Wars: The Bad Batch receive Disney + premiere dates

Today is a red card day for Disney property ads: release dates have been set for the Disney + series Loki and Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and the new Spider-Man movie has a new name.

We’ll start with Spider-Man. After a marketing ploy in which three different movie stars shared three fake movie names along with the film’s initial images on Instagram, the real title of the new Spider-Man movie was revealed in a cheeky Twitter video and blog post: Spider-Man: no way home.

The false names that circulated previously included Spider-Man: Phone home, Spider-Man: Home Destroyer, and Spider-Man: Home Slice.

Spider-Man: no way home will be released on December 17, 2021.

And speaking of Marvel release dates and characters, the Disney + series Loki opens on June 11. The series had previously been announced, but this is the first time that we know the exact day to wait for the first episode.

Here is the description of the Marvel Studios series:

Loki presents the God of Mischief as he emerges from his brother’s shadow in a new series that occurs after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, accompanied by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is the lead writer.

But the abundance of Disney ads today is not limited to Marvel. The new Star Wars animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch will arrive at Disney + in the one created by a marketer and fan Star Wars May 4th holiday.

The first episode will open that day, while the second will arrive shortly after, on May 7. From then on, new episodes will air every Friday.

The series is produced by Dave Filoni, Athena Portillo, Bead Rau, Jennifer Corbett, Carrie Beck and Josh Rimes – all of whom have worked on an earlier or other animated series, such as Star Wars Clone Wars or Star Wars Resistance. Filoni also directed several episodes of The Mandalorian.

Here is the synopsis of Disney:

The series follows the elite and experimental soldiers of the Clone Force 99 (first introduced in Star Wars Clone Wars) as they find their way into a rapidly changing galaxy shortly after the Clone War. Bad Batch members, as they prefer to be called – a unique squad of clones that vary genetically from their brothers in the Army of Clones – each has an exceptional and unique skill, which makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

Disney + has more Star Wars and Marvel content coming, including Boba Fett’s Book, Star Wars: Andor, Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars: The Acolyte, Star Wars: Ashoka, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, Mrs. Marvel, And if?, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, Iron heart, Armor Wars, and I Am Groot.
