Although we have not given Brio the complete review treatment, some Engadget employees use this webcam regularly and are satisfied with it. This is one of Logitech’s next generation webcams and supports 4K video at 30fps, as well as 1080p video at 60fps. The quality is much better than that obtained with most integrated webcams, so you will have a crisp and clear appearance when watching consecutive video calls. Although Logitech made StreamCam specifically for gamers, Brio also has the specs to be a decent streaming camera.
Brio has a wide 90 degree field of view, but you can adjust it from 68 to 78 degrees if you want to eliminate the clutter around you and get a closer look during video conferences. It also features HDR light correction technology that will prevent you from being in the shade even when there is no good lighting in your workspace.
And Windows Hello is included with this camera as well. This means that you can use it to log in with facial recognition if you are on a Windows PC. Although this feature is quite common on Windows laptops, it is much more difficult to find on desktops. It is a convenient feature if you are eager to leave your passwords behind. Although most people think only with Logitech’s C920 webcams, it’s hard to beat a camera that is actually in stock now – especially when it’s on sale like this.
