COLUMBIA, SC – Hundreds of non-profit organizations in South Carolina, including several from CSRA, who fought during the coronavirus pandemic, will receive some extra money soon.
In October, Governor Henry McMaster announced two new grant programs made available through the SC CARES Act: the Nonprofit Assistance Grant Program and the Minority and Small Business Assistance Grant Program.
On Wednesday, the South Carolina Department of Administration announced that 686 organizations will receive money through the Relief Grants Program for Nonprofits. Those who signed up were eligible to receive between $ 2,500 to $ 50,000 in funds.
In all, $ 25 million will be awarded to nonprofit organizations across the state of Palmetto.
The scholarship payment will occur until January, according to the State Administration Secretariat.
