Storylines

Chelsea: The star Thiago Silva returned to training on Tuesday afternoon, recovering from a thigh injury against Tottenham. Time will tell if he gets the start, but he can be a big boost in defense for the Blues, who have been playing very defensively. Chelsea have not conceded a goal in 247 minutes, suffering only twice in the last nine matches.

Liverpool: The Reds have just won a 2-0 win over Sheffield United, but it hasn’t been that impressive yet. All eyes will be on whether the famous goalkeeper Alisson plays, and what is expected of him. The Brazilian, unfortunately, lost his father last week after drowning while swimming. Alisson was released on Sunday for compassionate reasons and should be available, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said on Tuesday. Fabinho must also be available after a muscle injury prevented him from four games. Diogo Jota was also expected to join the team for the first time since December 9, due to a knee injury, but he is ill and is out.

Prediction

Pulisic starts, delivers and the Blues win a solid tie on the road. To choose: Liverpool 1, Chelsea 1
