President Biden revoked several executive orders issued by Donald Trump this week, including one calling for a review of funding given to so-called “anarchist” cities.
Biden issued an executive order on Wednesday night to undo the review, which was issued in response to violent and destructive unrest that occurred in several cities.

Cities designated by the Justice Department as anarchists include New York, Portland and Seattle. Affected municipalities have filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration for its attempts to withhold federal funding.
At the time, the Justice Department said that these cities had not taken “reasonable steps to neutralize criminal activities”.
