Unsound Festival has released a new compilation called Break. It presents a new collaboration between Jlin and the late SOPHIE called “JSLOIPNHIE”. Listen below.
The new compilation also features Tim Hecker songs with Agata Harz and Katarzyna Smoluk, Moor Mother with Geng and more. The compilation was released together with a book with essays, poetry and fiction “to create a unique interdisciplinary work that unites different opinions, narratives, art forms and genres”.
“JSLOIPNHIE” was completed before SOPHIE’s sudden death in January, at the age of 34. Many SOPHIE colleagues paid tribute, including frequent contributor Charli XCX. Read “How SOPHIE’s music inspired a generation of underground artists” and “Remembering the radical futurism of SOPHIE”.
