Swift announced the fully updated Fearless on Thursday, although she had seen the re-recording of “Love Story” in early December. Fearless (Taylor version), which will be released on April 9 and is in pre-order in several editions, includes new recordings of six tracks that Swift wrote for the album when he was a teenager and that were never released. In a statement, Swift called Fearless (Taylor version) “The whole story, the whole vivid image … the whole dream landscape that is my fearless album.”

After Scooter Braun bought and later resold the master recordings for Swift’s first six albums, Swift said he would re-record them as a way to regain control of his work. Swift released his newest album ever with one day’s notice in December, less than six months after launch folklore Likewise.
